Why  Hire a Wedding Planner?

by Debbie Wallace

Congratulations on your engagement!  Wondering what to do next?
An average wedding takes over 100 hours to plan.  For example, making sure your vendor contracts are negotiated fairly and according to your specifications, takes more time than most of today’s couples have.  The many details and decisions of obtaining specialized services, reputable vendors, invitations and so much more can put a fog over your eyes.  Consider hiring a professional wedding planner to help clear the fog in wedding planning.  Putting your wedding in the hands of a professional can bring you peace of mind that is worth more than its weight in gold.
The right planner will stand in, not to make decisions for you, but to guide and assist you in making informed decisions that can save valuable time and money, making sure you are getting the best deals. The right planner will want to be sure to host the beautiful wedding of your dreams that you can enjoy.

Many are under the misconception that hiring a wedding planner is a luxury they can’t afford, when the truth is, you can’t afford to do without one.

Would you like to be married in this setting?
                          Let Debbie Plan YOUR Wedding

The fees of a wedding planner vary from one to another.

Most commonly, wedding planners will charge 10-15% of your overall budget and/or a flat fee that will be no less than $1,500.00 - $2, 000.00 for one of their wedding packages.  If you are a couple that would prefer to do most of your planning but would like to retain a planner for professional advice, an hourly rate (usually $40 or more per hour) may be best.

No matter which option you choose when you hire a wedding planner, be sure you do your research and find someone who is detail oriented and committed to providing the best service possible at a comfortable price.  Finding someone who best fits your needs could do wonders for relieving some of the stress that comes with planning a wedding. You should feel completely comfortable with the coordinator and feel assured that he or she fully understands what your needs are. ©
